Since becoming a Real Estate Broker in 2012, I’ve worked full-time in Boulder, building my business almost entirely through referrals—fueled by meaningful conversations, lasting relationships, and a commitment to sharing the knowledge and resources I’ve gathered over 13 years in the industry.I truly love what I do, and I’m continually inspired by the fascinating people I get to meet along the way.

I began my career at RE/MAX of Boulder Inc., where I spent five years learning the foundations of Real Estate. From there, I joined Spaces Rea lEstate, a boutique brokerage for another incredible five years before finally spending three years at Compass – Boulder, one of the nation’s most recognized firms. In 2024, I took the leap to create my own independent brokerage, J. David Real Estate—a move that has allowed me to serve my clients on a deeper level and put their needs first, always.

Boulder has been home since 2004, when I moved here to attend CU. I graduated in 2008 with a degree in Advertising and in 2026 earned a Master’s in Creative Technology & Design from the CU School of Engineering’s ATLAS Institute. I believe in continually evolving so I can bring fresh ideas and innovative strategies to my work.

My biggest motivation, however, is my family—my amazing wife and our three wonderful children (ages six, four, and one). They are my “why” and the heart behind everything I do. Outside of real estate, I’m a professional mandolin player with my band Bear Hat, run a children’s music program for toddlers called Bear Cub Brigade.
