Since becoming a Real Estate Broker in 2012, I’ve built my business almost entirely through meaningful conversations, lasting relationships, and a commitment to sharing my knowledge and resources. I truly love what I do, largely driven by a fascination for “how everyone gets along” and honored to be by their side, meticulously guiding them through life changing decision making.
I began my career at RE/MAX of Boulder Inc. where I spent five years mastering the technical foundations of Real Estate in the top producing real estate brokerage in Boulder. Then I moved to a boutique brokerage called Spaces Real Estate, where I engaged in weekly High Performance Coaching from local Top Producers. Finally, I moved to Compass | Boulder, arguably the nation’s most influential real estate company. In 2024, I compiled everything I knew to create my own independent brokerage, J. David Real Estate. This instantly allowed me the uninhibited ability to “do what I want” which is very simple: Opening Doors to More Options & Opportunities for Everyone.
Beautiful Boulder, Colorado has been home since 2004, when I moved here to attend CU. I graduated in 2008 with a degree in Advertising that led me into a career as marketing director for The Fox Theatre (until I got my Real Estate License in 2012). In 2026 earned a Master’s in Creative Technology & Design from the CU School of Engineering’s ATLAS Institute. I believe in continually evolving so I can bring fresh ideas and innovative strategies to my work.
My biggest motivation, however, is my family - my amazing wife and our three wonderful children (ages six, four, and one). They are my “why” and the heart behind everything I do. For fun - I am a professional mandolin player with my band Bear Hat and also run a children’s music program for toddlers called Bear Cub Brigade.
